Most of them can.If a book is part of a larger series, I'll always recommend the ideal reading order, but I never want readers to feel lost.

Everywhere.A random conversation.A motorcycle.A line of dialogue.A "what if?" that refuses to leave me alone.Most of my books start with a single image or scene that won't stop replaying in my head until I figure out the story around it.

Not directly.My characters are usually inspired by little pieces of many different people, experiences, personalities, and "what if" scenarios rather than one real person.

Chaotic.I outline obsessively, reorganize those outlines repeatedly, fill notebooks with scenes, and somehow convince myself each book will be easier than the last.It never is.
